Willows Home Care specialise in supporting individuals living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of Dementia in their own homes.
Our managing director, having first hand experience with a family member living with Dementia,
understands the challenges that arise as symptoms progress, not just for the individual
living with the condition but the whole family.
We pride ourselves in our ability to improve quality of life by pursuing the interests of our clients.
This could include; arts and crafts, knitting, music, jigsaws, board games, gardening, walking, scenic
drives, cooking, looking through photo albums, photography, bowling and reminiscing just to name a few.
It is important to our carers to find the perfect place for an outing that they know their client will enjoy. We were lucky to find the Blue Flamingo Café, open on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of every month. The clients and carers can enjoy live music, jigsaws, sandwiches and snacks. This is a true Dementia friendly café run by lovely people.
Observing wildlife is a popular activity here at Willows Home Care. We can accompany your loved one through the local park, around the countryside, or maybe a trip to Ribby Hall or Myerscough college to name some of our favourite spots. A cup of tea and a slice of cake at a local café is always a nice way to end the visit.
